Overview

SUPER 7 is a premium protein blend consisting of 7 types of quality, animal protein sources, including egg white protein and casein. It includes ultrafiltered milk protein isolate providing undenaturated micellar casein and whey in natural ratio. Our formula also provides the patented PeptoPro protein hydrolysate! PeptoPro is enzymatically broken down so it mainly consists of small amino acid peptides (“chains”). SUPER 7 provides the complete amino acid spectrum, including all the essential aminos. These 9 amino acids (i.e. Histidine, Isoleucine, Leucine, Lysine, Methionine, Phenylalanine, Threonine, Tryptophan, Valine) are considered essential for life, because the body cannot synthesize them.

What’s great about SUPER 7 is the addition of several extra ingredients. One group includes essential fatty acids, like Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) and flax seed oil, which is a source of Alpha Linoleic Acid (ALA). In the other group of active ingredients, we have the digestive enzymes Bromelain and Papain! To top it all off, SUPER 7 is made without aspartame and has a superb flavor and creamy texture! It is also great for night-time use. SUPER 7 has a high proteincontent and proteins contribute to the maintenance and growth of muscle mass and also to the maintenance of normal bones.

Its called Super 7 because it uses Whey Protein Concentrate 80%, Milk Protein Isolate, Whey Protein Isolate, Milk Protein Hydrolysate, Membrane Filtrated Whey Protein Concentrate, Egg White Protein & Sodium Caseinate. These 7 proteins all provide different amino acids & absorption rates to make Super 7 about as “complete” as a protein shake can be.

Taste

I had Milk Chocolate flavour and it is basically a Dairy Milk melted down. It really sweet but it a good way. Its easy to drink and a great bedtime snack. It mixes up well and doesn’t have any lumps or grit.

Results

Super 7 is geared towards being a slow digesting bedtime protein shake and it works very well, it keeps you fed overnight and stops you from falling into a catabolic state. Now I tried this at various times throughout the day and found that a double Super 7 (Super 14???) made for an excellent breakfast shake whilst cutting down. It could be used as a postworkout but wouldn’t be an ideal choice.

I would like to have seen a breakdown of how much of each protein was used for the make up of Super 7 but its not a major issue. Super 7 tastes great, has a good nutritional profile and isn’t unreasonably priced. It’s clearly supposed to be used at bedtime but could easily be used in-between meals or as a breakfast shake. 6.5/10
