PhD Lean Degree Review

Overview
Lean Degree is a product designed to be used in conjunction with a weight loss nutritional plan, targeted towards the burning of body fat.

Features

Caffeine
caffeine is a stimulant and has been shown to potential increase physical performance and maximise endurance capacity. A great ingredient to include in a fat loss and energy plan.
L-Tyrosine
Sometimes called 4-Hydroxyphenylalanine, L-Tyrosine is one of 22 amino acids used to synthesize protein. It is a popular amino acid in a variety of popular weight loss formulas.
Green tea extract
Green tea extract is a herbal derivative from green tea leaves. Green tea extract contains Catechins or Green Tea Catechins, which have been used by health conscious individuals for many years for it’s potential antioxidant effect.
Dimethlyaminoethanol (DMAE)
Certainly not to be mistaken for the banned stimulant DMAA (Often called Geranium extract), DMAE is formulated into Choline in the liver and has been the subject of a variety of studies into such topics as mood improvement, alertness and even attention deficit disorder (ADHD).
Phosphatidlyserine
Whilst Phosphatidylserine (PS), does not carry an approved health claim here in the UK or Europe, it is a very popular ingredient in the USA, whereby it carries a number of health claims related to improving memory and attention span. It is derived from the soy bean and is a very popular addition to many sports nutrition products.
Dandelion root
Dandelion root is a popular herb used in a variety of weight loss formulas.

Dandelion root (taraxacum officinale): 25 mg

That’s a good line up, all the important individual information for the ingredients is above.
You don’t often see ginger in a fat burner though, that’s a new one to me.

Taste
None. Lean Degree hasn’t got an after taste either.

Serving Size
Container Size: 120 Capsules
Serving Size: 2 Capsules
Servings Per Container: 60

Price
I have seen it as cheap as £21 or as expensive as £40 so hop around! If you can get it for low £20s then great but don’t pay more just find another supplier.

Side Effects
None at all, which is worrying because the least I expect from a decent fat burner is the sweats.

Results

I used this along with PhD’s CLA as advised and I saw an OK 5lbs of fat and 3lbs of water weight loss by the end of the month.

It’s nothing staggering but its OK, its not bad but its not great, it’s distinctly middle of the road. That’s kind of my feeling towards Lean Degree, take it or leave it. It would never make up part of my essential cutting stack. If you like to use a fat burner and you see it on offer then by all means give it a try but don’t expect a massive sudden drop in fat.

Lean Degree will burn off some unwanted fat but there are better options out there. 5/10
